Applied Cells, Inc. Is Pleased to Announce Winning the Annual CYTO 2020 Technology Innovation Showcase

We are pleased to announce that we have won the CYTO 2020 Technology Innovation Award at Virtual CYTO, 2020. ISAC, the International Society for the Advancement of Cytometry, held its annual CYTO meeting August 4-5, 2020.

The virtual exhibit had over 1,100 attendees, 85+ exhibitors from around the world, nearly 150 posters, commercial scientific tutorials, networking opportunities and over 15 hours of live sessions, all of which have been recorded and are available on-demand. Applied Cells was one of three finalists to make it to the judging panel.

The Session Moderator was John Nolan, PhD, Professor, Scintillon Institute. The distinguished judging panel including Diether Recktenwald, PhD, Principal, Desatoya LLC, VP Advanced Technology, (Retired) BD Biosciences, Bill Hyun, MS, PhD, Venture Partner, Genoa Ventures and Elena Holden, MD, President and CEO, Tomocube USA, Inc. The MARS® System – Multiphysics Automated Reconfigurable Separation System – is the “one-stop” modular solution for complete cell isolation from complex samples. MARS’s novel design uses active-microfluidic acoustics AND magnetic separation technologies to isolate target cells from whole blood, apheresis, and bone marrow samples.

From rare cells to T-cells, the MARS system can isolate target cells with high recovery, high purity, and high throughput (3H Solutions). Our unique multi-physics approach provides enabling research and cost-effective clinical solutions to the field of Genomics, Tumor Biology, and Cell Therapy with full automation for every lab.

Dr. Yuchen Zhou, Founder and CEO, said, “We are honored to have won this prestigious new technology award. Our teams in the U.S. and China have been working tirelessly to launch our system. Our modular MARS® system fills a market need for walk away cell isolation. MARS® uses acoustics to separate particles based on their physical properties and magnetics for rare cell separation. The modular design allows for customization to individual scientific needs.”
